APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Substrate Preparation - Surfaces must be clean, dry, structurally stable. It is recommended the Sealmark Primer be used to treat the surface before the brush grade caulk is applied, but it is not necessary to achieve a bond between the substrate and the caulking. Substrate surface temperature should be at least 40 F and free of grease, oil, dirt, and other solvents that would interfere with the surface bond.
Application - Brush #1001 into crack or joint area in a continuous film; be sure to fill the crack with no voids. For cracks on smooth surface walls use a putty knife to push excess material into crack and level surface. Remove excess material from sides of filled crack with a damp sponge taking care not to wipe material out of filled crack. After excess is cleaned away retool with putty knife. For rough wall surface complete the same method as for smooth wall surface but stipple the repair with a soft brush to match the existing surface.
